Community Day 1

  • MECA 522 Congress Street Portland, ME, 04101 United States (map)

About Community Days

We want to make regenerative theater: stories that make the world a better place by their content, how they’re told, and how they engage with the community they are for: you.

Community days are our chance to break out of the rehearsal room and connect with you, our audience.

Come join us every Saturday June 14 - July 19. None of this fancy, expensive opera stuff: regenerative theater is for all of us, so come as you are, pay what you can.

Community Days will be hosted at MECA in downtown Portland with a few offsite locations in and around Portland, ME.

COMMUNITY DAY SCHEDULE (SATURDAYS)

10-11:30am A master class where you can see the stars of tomorrow honing their craft with master teachers

12-1:30pm A community lunch featuring a local culinary artist and free 15 minute mind & body awareness lessons through the Alexander Technique. (You’ll feel like you’ve had a massage of your mind and body afterwards, and you can keep your clothes on!)

2-3pm A themed concert featuring our fellows.

4-6pm Observe an open Carmen rehearsal and see hogfish in process.

Later Event: June 27
